I have this TV. I bought it at fry's last november for $2299. I kind of regret it since this has no DVI input...just VGA(D-sub15) for pc connection, and supports 800x600 to be natural looking. When you use 16:9 resolution for wide screen movies, the movies it self look fine, but the pixels are cut out that texts and all other's in window it self look very ugly. Also, the spaces between each pixel is very big and bulky compared to other comparable plasmas. I say you should wait until other prices come down.... This TV is just gonna be to watch regular TV's in my family room...no where the near the quality i want it to be to watch movie in the home theater room. hope this helps

There are too few pixels for too many inches. This resolution is what you'd expect for a 13-14" lcd monitor.

480 lines are plenty for an excellent picture on a _GOOD_QUALITY_ 42" screen.
Only when you go bigger, say 60" or more, High Definition, 720 or 1080 lines, really makes any difference.

its #3.
#6, Daewoo to Sony = Lexus to Toyota
Daewoo is just such a horrible name Sony ends up marking their high performance line lower than their standard line.

#9, when did Sony (Japan) merge with Daewoo (Korea)?
Samsung, LG, Hyundai, Daewoo are all from Korea. It'd make more sense if you say Daewoo is lower-end Samsung.

I read the reviews on this tv, and hey, $2300 wasn't cheap man. And I'm no where near rich. I am just an audio and video lover, and will spend any kind of money. In the future I would like to get a better TV. And this home theater room is just what we used to use for a game room and TV game (playstation) room that I converted to strictly movie watching. It's really fun playing around with audio equipments, if some of you know what I'm talking about :)
anyways, my point is this TV isn't good as I thought it would be compared to the reviews I read online. Just saw it on ad, wanted it, and went out and bought it. Should of thought more.

No. I get no money from my parents, and I pay my own tuition(well, thru the army national guard). Another thing about this TV Daewoo has REALLY shitty customer support. Very short customer support hours and the representative seems like he knows nothing about This TV. You just get connected to "Customer General Support". Seems like they don't have technitian handy to help. It also sucks that this manufacture warranty lasts only a year. Well, that's all I got to say about this TV. Hope you make a good choice before spending your hard earned money.

Daewoo is a horrible brand- the only two electronic devices that were DOA out of the box have been this company.

They also make cars!!!! and their cars is very big in Asia!!! and may be europe. They're trying their feet at the US market too. Quality I don't know.
But I think GM bought that company or at least took over Daewoo UK (google "daewoo"-claim that Daewoo is a part of GM UK family car manufacturer) which is also part of Daewoo internationals.
So may be its a part of us US company :(
