I personally prefer the HD-590s better... has more of a "Grado" sound if you know what I mean.
I got my 590s on ebay for like $169 shipped or something... but this is a decent deal on a pair of 580s.
Comparison? 580s are more laid back, sorta like the 600s. 590s reveal more.

That's a load of crap! It's like winetasting where you use adjectives that have nothing to the taste of wine to describe it. These make a 'warmer' sound.. feh!

You guys have any opinions of cordless earphones for under 50 bucks?
i wanna get one just to drown out my roommates music and video games. Nothign great, just decent and cheap.

If you're gonna go cordless, buy IR headphones. Yes, you need to be in view of the transmitter for them to work, but they aren't subject to the interference that plagues RF headphones. As far as "under 50 bucks", I have no idea...

if you buy these headphones, you're wasting your money if you don't hook them up to a headphone amp. it's night and day.
#2 maybe you should listen to these or some other high grade headphones before you say such stupid things.

I like the softness of the the 580s and 600s. The 590s are too bright for my taste... IMHO I'd compare the 580/600s to a pair of well-worn sneakers you like way too much to throw away, while the 590s are more like a brand squeakin' new, expensive pair of Nikes which are great shoes but still feel like putting your feet in a vise :-)
Oh, and how's THAT for irrelative adjectives?
