We drove about 1,000 miles today... across Nebraska and most of Wyoming. Tomorrow will bring us to Reno for some stomach stuffing and games.

1000 miles is a LOT to driver in one day. If you drove 10 hours, it would average out to 100 mph. That's fast.

It would be more correct to say that southern Wyoming is the most boring part of the country. Northern Wyoming is actually quite pretty (Yellowstone, Tetons, Cody, "Hells Half Acre"). Unfortunately, you have to drive through the moon to get to anything good.

I highly doubt that a van load of college kids and gear would be capable of sustaining 100 mph all day... More likely they were on the road for a good 15 hours, dropping the average time down to 66 mph or so (which doesn't include bathroom breaks or lunch or whatever).

reno is the biggest little city and it's a dump...
