fwiw, this vacuum has been sold for $25 less, and has been at this price for the last 3 to 4 months, if not more.

Crappy plastic breaks. Several parts are broken on mine and I'm pretty careful. I didn't believe others when I saw that but I now know the truth.

Is it really worth $300 for a vacuum that doesn't support autopilot?

Vacuums are 50$ at walmart for very good ones. IF this was a ride on vacuum than that would be differenyt

Very good? If you call spitting all sorts of particles back out into the air, killing your air quality, making you just need to vacuum again when they settle, and possibly even causing asthma or other issues, then yes, get the $50 vacuum. Or this Dyson. Or even a Kirby (expensive crap that has good suction but nothing else going for them).

I'll stick with Miele. If you don't want to pony up for Miele then get an Electrolux Harmony or Oxygen.
