Cold Stone Creamery is holding a Make-A-Wish fundraiser, where they are giving away a free serving (3 oz.) of "Make-A-Wish Creation." The fine print reveals that the freebie is their Emily or Jack's creation menu items, served out of a cup. A donation is encouraged.

I dont trust these.
Last time I went to a 7-11 on 7/11 and asked for a free slurpie, the indian dudes looked at me like I was crazy.

#1, i would think that a percentage of the sales for that day would be raise more money than asking for donations, but at least they are doing something to help

I agree with #3. There have been quite a few reports of Stone Cold franchisee's bailing on these give aways because Stone Cold does not give them any breaks on ingredient costs and it is killing the margins. Here are a couple of the reports:

Maybe Congress can bail these guys out too so we get free ice cream.

When nuisance_sucks goes to the nearest Cold Stone for free ice cream, some people may have the mercy to donate some money to such skinny HOMID who lives in a pink troll tent and constantly gets pwned into oblivion.

Is is just me, or does Cold Stone's ice cream really not taste all that good. Especially for the price.

Maybe if we all stop paying $5 for a tablespoon of ice cream with some cookie crumbs mixed into it, we can get this economy out of the crapper.

#8, it's just you. your tongue is a fool.

#8, your economics is a little botched too. Spending money in the food service industry in America is probably one of the best things you can do with your money if you want to give the economy a stimulus.

beats buying foreign products.

#2/7 loves this place. She always asks the guy at the counter for a "special topping".

Well, the rumor is that you always provide it for any guy who asks. But that isn't one of nuisance_el_gordo's IDs, so you've got the wrong guy. I know it's tough to keep up since you both have so many. How's that job working out for you, anyway, milf_hunter?

Coldstone is expensive for bullshit ice cream. You can make your own creations at a fraction of the cost with cheaper ingredients.

True, you could make your own ice cream. I find to get the same texture as Cold Stone a little more challenging. The ice cream there is pretty good, though. I'll give this free serving size a shot. I got loads of free Slurpees when it was 7/11 hopefully this will come through.

Nuisance threw a FAT-RAGE tantrum when they would only give him 1 freebie.

Back from market as well as from a Cold Stone nearby. There were a bunch of high school girls with Ray Ban Wayfarers and firemen hats trying to get you to donate.

I asked to see if it was for free, but was told you had to donate at least a dollar. I'm not sure if that applies all over, but they held onto tickets that allowed you to get the "Free Cold Stone". No biggie though, I gave them a five and got a ridiculously small cup of ice cream.

Se la vie.
